Dare 2 Care, Inc., founded in 1992 by Theresa Strachan, was designed to attack often ignored issues that can no longer be avoided. Dare 2 Care, Inc. extends the work beyond a one-day fundraiser or a one-day giveaway, by providing children with multiple opportunities to address and mitigate the many issues that they face on a day-to-day basis.
Dare 2 Care, Inc. understands that adolescents and young adults may not be open to discuss certain issues. If even given a chance to meet someone who they idolize or someone who has come from their same or a similar situation it would truly make a difference in their lives. To be given the same opportunities that they see are being given to the youth in larger cities.
Dare 2 Care, Inc. will collaborate with the families as well as idols/role models, celebrities, school administrators, counselors, local groups, churches, businesses and political figures to ensure the success in events. The goal is to bring cities and counties together, with the objective to unite the gap between the generations.

Dare 2 Care Inc. recognizes that self-reliance the “evaded curriculum” is inextricably linked to education.
Yet, society’s messages glamorizing sex, smoking, alcohol, drugs and thinness pervade our culture, reinforced by peer pressure to experiment with more risky behavior. Which leads to use of drugs, are violent, be preoccupied with their physical appearance, join gangs or drop out of school. These are all topics that are important to be addressed through various events and in various actions.
